With over 20 years of professional experience, Tim Chan, the lead principal of WAI Professional Corporation, is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor. Having spent his career practicing in energy (Oil & Gas, Power and Utilities, Natural Gas) and the non-profit sectors, while leveraging an MBA in Strategic Financial Management, Tim has led teams of accountants and auditors in assuring enterprise financial and risk controls. Tim is also a Sessional Instructor at the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business. Additionally, as a Product Owner, Tim understands the complexity of digital transformation, having designed and implemented an enterprise hydrocarbon planning platform at one of Canada’s largest energy companies.
